This is the part where I am supposed to tell you about myself and about why it would be worth your while to read what I’ve put here. Yet even as I am writing now, I feel apprehensive and completely inadequate! What do I have to offer? Who am I to think I have something worthy of saying?

And that’s when the Lord steps in.

He reminds me it’s in fact not about me, but about Him. He wants to guide my words, my posts, my thoughts, my opinions. I want you all to see Him as you read, not me.

Because honestly, I’m a mess. But I want to submit this mess for Jesus to mold and use, and I pray that as He is changing my heart and I’m sharing about it here, He can use it to change yours, too.

So welcome, or karibuni as we say here in Kenya… Welcome to my heart as I seek out the heart of Jesus. I am so far from perfect, but I serve a perfect Savior. Heck, I am my biggest work in progress yet! But ya know, I think our mess would seem a whole lot less daunting if we could have others to walk alongside. Perhaps we can encourage one another to stop trying to clean up our own mess, but allow the Lord to do it for us.

So here we go, friends! Let’s learn and grow and share together. And maybe, just maybe, we can all start to look and sound and act like our Savior a little more every day.
